Silicon sheets

It’s been 5 days since my visit to Stanford Plastics, and I’ve switched from Cortran tape (12 hours a day) to Silicon tape (24/7) and it looks like my scars are starting to flatten!

    1. started out as acne scars, and they kept growing. then, I had a surgery to remove them...and they came back bigger.

  2. Hi, I’ve been following your keloid journey for so long and it’s so nice you’ve updated! I haven’t got the guts to see a plastic surgeon or dermatologist yet because my depressed and self esteem is just that low. Plus, my fear has really hindered me. My keloid is on top of my belly button due to me being a stupid teen and ripped off my bellybutton ring when it got infected. It got worse for over 12 years now so it ways over an inch long and very raised. So far, what has helped me with the itchy and burning sensation, I take turmeric pills daily to help with how our bodies deal with inflammation. If I miss 1 or 2 days of it, the itchiness comes back.

I’ll come back to comment when I’ve finally build up the courage and go to my first appointment. And to check up on your journey! #KeepFighting :) <3

    1. turmeric pills! I will need to try this.

don't be shy to see a doctor. they see this stuff all the time, and if they don't they will send you to someone who does! I hope you're feeling better these days, but I def know what it's like to have a bad day due to keloid related self-esteem. please keep me posted on how you're doing!!

  3. You should read up on some studies out of Japan on Keloids. Exercision with post radiation and steroid tape has been extremely successful.

  5. Hi, why are you using both silicone gel sheet and steroid tape at the same time? does it give better results when using them together?
